Six months of small changes add up. Halfway through the year is a good moment to look at what actually shifted.
Midyear Check-In: How Have Your Systems Evolved Since January?

Very few businesses make a deliberate decision to change their IT setup. It changes anyway: a new tool someone signed up for, three more staff, a supplier who now needs access to a shared folder, a laptop that quietly went out of warranty in March.

Worth checking at the halfway point

Count your users and compare it to your licence count, in both directions. Look at what has been added to the network since January. Check which machines are still on an operating system that will be supported this time next year. And look at whether your documented recovery plan still describes the systems you actually run.

Why now

Doing this in July gives you two clear quarters to budget and schedule anything you find, rather than discovering it in December when everyone is away and the year-end spend is already committed.
